Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State on Wednesday said his administration had given approval to the Nigerian Legion to take over the security of all public primary and secondary schools in the state. Ambode made the disclosure at the launch of the 2018 emblem and appeal fund in commemoration of the Armed Forces Rememberance Day celebration, held at the Lagos House in Ikeja.
Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode on Wednesday heaped praises on the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) Football Club for returning the State back to the prestigious CAF Champions League sixteen years after a team from the State participated in the tournament. Speaking at Lagos House in Alausa, Ikeja when he received MFM FC alongside top officials of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) as well as some ex-internationals, Governor Ambode said it was gratifying that a team from the State would be participating in the 2018 edition of the continental tournament after such a long time, just as he pledged to assist the team with the necessary support to ensure successful campaign at the championship.
Lagos state governor Akinwunmi Ambode on Tuesday, December 20, released twelve prisoners of the Kirikiri Maximum Security Prison in Apapa area of the state. The Lagos State Government on Thursday launched a mobile app to facilitate interaction and provision of services between government and the citizens from the comfort of their homes and offices without necessarily paying a visit to government establishments where such services are being provided. The mobile app, otherwise known as Citizens Gate under the Citizens Relations Management (CRM) initiative, is the first of its kind in Nigeria, and would avail residents of the State the opportunity to make enquiry and suggestions on government services and getting faster responses.
